Andries: “The team consists of 12 people, of which 5 all-round operators. The Production Manager will mainly communicate with these operators. The team is young and energetic, but still needs guidance.  It’s important that the new Production Manager gets an understanding of the process and regulations on the production floor. Therefore, it’s important to be visible at the production floor.

“This could be a great step for example a process engineer with leadership ambitions, a SHE manager or a team lead with experience in a production environment. You can really get to know the pharma business and be entrepreneurial due to the close group of employees. As a next step there are many possibilities within DFE Pharma, but also within FrieslandCampina and Fonterra.

Experience and education

  • Bachelor Degree;
  • Relevant experience in production environment, preferably in food or pharma;
  • At least 5 Years of experience in a leading role;
  • Fluent in Dutch and sufficient in English (prerequisite);
  • Knowledge about production planning, quality systems and budget responsibility ;
  • Preferably knowledge of Lean and operational excellence systems;
  • Preferably Knowledge of cGMP, ISO, HACCP.

Competences

  • Leadership skills, being able to lead a group of approximately 10-15 people to establish and maintain goals;
  • Project management, able to manage multiple projects;
  • Analytic skills, act fact-based and data-driven;
  • Organizational sensitivity, aware about other people and is able to involve and convince others;
  • Collaborative; pro-active and problem-solving attitude within the team by involving colleagues.

The Production Manager is responsible for developing and leading the production team at Borculo with a customer centric and operational Excellence culture. All operational and administrative activities at the Borculo site are conducted to high quality standards  (cGMP and ISO9002) and aligned with DFE pharma’s global quality standards.
